The Sun Workstations, by Sun Microsystems, have several
applications written at Fermilab to interface with the Fermilab
Beams Division Controls Group systems. The most widely used is
the tk-index Application. This is invoked at the UNIX terminal
command line by:

prompt $ tk-index &

   The ampersand indicates that the program is to run in
the background. This keeps the terminal free to run other
applications.
